Introduction
The Reward & Recognition scheme has been implemented in order to demonstrate our continuous commitment to achieving excellence. It is a Company procedure and is not contractual. It is not intended to be legally binding but sets out a framework for rewarding and recognising our people. These guidelines apply to permanent or short term contract employees. The Company reserves the right to change these guidelines without prior notice but you will be informed of any amendments.

Purpose 
To promote a consistent and transparent method of recognising and rewarding exceptional employee contributions. Encouraging and motivating employees to increase and enhance their contributions for continued business success.

Scope
This procedure covers all employees who have a permanent or short term contract of employment with STILL Materials Handling Limited.

Procedure

These guidelines affect all parties and each has their individual part to play in supporting and encouraging Reward and Recognition:

  • Employees
  • Line Managers
  • Executive Managers
  • Customers Dealers/Distributors
  • Suppliers

How will our Employees be Recognised?
In order to promote The “STILL Way” an individual can be rewarded based on the following criteria:

Customer Service Excellence:
Receiving a personalised positive letter/email or thank you card from:

  • An Internal or External Customer
  • Dealer/Distributor
  • Supplier

Information relating to how and why the individual has exceeded expectations must be apparent in the letter.

Submitting a Great Idea
Putting forward to Line Manager or Executive Team a suggestion for improving any part of the business which, if approved, results in an overall improvement of our business or supports our people.

Revenue Generating Idea
Putting forward to Line Manager or Executive Team a suggestion which is implemented and leads to an increase in revenue within the business. This includes Customer recommendations as well as ideas for enhancing revenue opportunities in all aspects of the business.

Cost Saving Initiatives
Putting forward to Line Manager or Executive Team a suggestion which is implemented and leads to a reduction in cost within the business, thus improving our profitability.

Exceptional Team Working
Demonstrate outstanding teamwork, supporting members of their direct or indirect team in order to maximise team ability. Sharing of knowledge/skills, working together in order to meet deadlines and customer demands, covering additional responsibilities.

Exceptional Team Performance
Demonstrate outstanding performance within a team, exceeding targets and consistently driving revenue opportunities.

Positive Attitude
Consistently demonstrates a “can do” attitude, adapting to needs of our Internal & External Customers and goes out of their way to support in a positive way, offering solutions and ideas for continuous improvement.

How do we Nominate?
Any employee can nominate any individual, regardless of their position in the Company, ie Employees can nominate other employees or Managers.

Nomination forms are reviewed by the HR Manager on a weekly basis, in conjunction with the Line Manager or other parties involved in the nomination. Notification to approved nominations will come directly from the HR department in the form of an email outlining where they have been recognised and who nominated them. 

What is the Reward for being Recognised? 
Reward points will be issued on a discretionary basis. The minimum number of points will be 20 points* The HR manager will ensure a consitent value of points is maintained should the minimum amount be exceeded.

At the end of October each year all employees will be invited to nominate outstanding colleagues for the annual “Embracing the STILL Way” Awards.

The criteria for this will be based on overall contribution throughout the year relating to:

  • Customer Service Excellence
  • Submitting a Great Idea
  • Revenue Generating Idea
  • Cost Saving Initiatives
  • Exceptional Team Working
  • Exceptional Team Performance
  • Positive Attitude

An award and reward points will be presented to those individuals within the business as recognition for their outstanding contribution.
